Information of Kawasemi Course
(Japanese Introductory Course)
The Kawasemi Course serves an auxiliary role for all foreign students and others who may need aid in learning Japanese by providing them with a 3 month educational program of basic and essential Japanese in order for them to get used to the public schools.
Overview
Location: Koka City Bantani Elementary School
(Shiga-ken, Koka-shi, Minakuchi-cho, Bannakayama, 2252)
Class hours: 8:30 – 14:45 (4 classes per day) , Mon – Fri.
Tuition: Kawasemi Course is a free course. However, material expenses and school lunch fees will be
charged according to the following table.

Throughout the year programs and events are held covering issues on social integration and spanning universal human rights problems. Furthermore, the lending of support system and awareness materials for school and PTA human rights awareness activities also takes place (examples listed below).

- Human rights gatherings and event programming
- Support for human rights educationalprogramming at city-wide preschools, kindergartens, parent/guardian meetings at elementary/junior high schools, PTA meetings, elementary school student council meetings, etc.
